What makes our wood shipping crates different?
Moose Logistics custom shipping crates are designed to fit side-by-side in a standard 98-inch wide or 101-inch wide semi trailer. This sizing difference means that it is more cost-efficient to ship with our crates because more crates can fit into a trailer.
That's not the only thing that makes our custom reusable crates different!
All of the following features separate Moose Logistics' high-quality custom shipping crates from standard shipping crates:
Moose Logistics uses:
- Only the best materials to construct our wood shipping crates (i.e., spruce instead of pine)
- Internal hinges instead of gussets to save space, strengthen joints, and improve the looks of our shipping crates
- Glue and screws on all joints to increase the durability of our shipping crates
Moose Logistics custom wood crate design includes the following unique features:
- Front loading with the hinge door folding down and attached to prevent damage and warping
- Craftsmanship that creates more durable corners to prevent damage to the crate and its contents
- Reinforced aluminum corners to further protect the crate contents
- Felt lining in the crates to protect the contents from rubbing against wood
Moose Logistics can custom design any size wood crate you need to ship your trade show displays, electronic equipment, medical equipment, or other material or equipment that requires careful handling. Our lightweight and reusable crates are designed specifically to protect your valuable shipments.
In addition to being designed and built for many years of use, our custom shipping crates our also produced to simplify the job of setting up dismantling your trade show booth, products, or equipment that you ship.
Sample prices for "generic" continuous use crates (inside dimensions):
- 4' long x 4' wide x 4' high - Starting at $695.00
- 4' long x 8' wide x 4' high - Starting at $845.00
The specifications are for continuous use, using 2 x 4 lumber, 3/8" plywood, pallet jack height, one hinged side with hasp and wire, and glued and screwed (nail screws). Constructed from heat treated lumber for international use. (Certification required at no extra charge)
Options include jigging, carpet, and gussets.
